I love being a photographer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh community offers so many riches for location shots. Do you want natural terrain? Architectural detail? Beautiful bridges? Lovely waterfront locations? Pittsburgh has all of that.
It's difficult to pick, but I think one of my favorite locations in Pittsburgh if the beautiful Phipps Conservatory. Specifically, the lovely Phipps Hall of Botany makes a great location. The Hall of Botany is located in Schenley Park in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Located across from Panther Hollow Bridge near the University of Pittsburgh, the Hall of Botany features walkways, curved benches and a bubbling fountain create an inviting space to relax and take in the surrounding beauty.
This lovely couple wanted more than a studio maternity portrait; they wanted the City of Pittsburgh in the shot. Dad wears a casual blue shirt and blue jeans. Mom wears a dark blue dress with white polka dots. Deep blue is one of my favorite colors for maternity attire. Holding hands, both parents-to-be look directly into the camera, as if to say, "Welcome, little one!"
