This sweet girl turns 1 this month and we are celebrating here with a studio mini session and cake smash.  I absolutely love this portrait with mom & dad that showcases the best of turning 1–learning to stand up and take first steps, so smiley and sweet, I love it!  I am so lucky to have such a run of cute 1 year olds in the studio lately.(C) 2014 Powder Blue Photography. www.powderbluephoto.com A cake smash is a thrill because you just NEVER know what a baby is gonna do with that cake.  Some dig right in and go crazy ,and some want almost nothing to do with it!  This little lady was somewhere in the middle.  What an awesome ombre cake, am I right?? Did you know that statistically, families with two girls are the happiest?

I did this mini studio session with baby Maeve and big sister Jane in the early morning because these two are early risers and happy morning girls.  My kiddos are the same way, so I was happy to get my day going early!  Mom brought along a new toy to play with for their session.  Princess & the Pea was a big hit, and the girls made the comfiest bed for the princess to sleep in!
