Remember that day a few weeks ago when it was 90 degrees… in October??? Well that was the day of this session. These guys were real troopers and you would never know that we were all roasting!

Those of you who know Hana, Max, and Jeff can imagine what a treat it is to work with them! They have a great sense of humor and totally rolled with my suggestions.

I used the most lovely location for this shoot, a private residence out near Cecil. I am so grateful to the owners for allowing us to use it!

Cutie pie Max just turned two last week.

I met this family last winter when baby Alex was born. Now Alex is an extremely sweet and fun 10-month-old. His brother Troy (age 3) is a cutie too, loves his dump trucks and has a special name for each one!

Troy melted my heart and held my hand a couple times during our session. 🙂 We took these portraits at the perfect time to capture some beautiful fall leaves near Peters Township, south of Pittsburgh.

I like a nice casually posed family picture that shows lots of love and flatters everyone, and I think these turned out perfectly!

And this mama will be well taken care of, that’s for sure…

I made this infographic for a short workshop I am teaching today for moms & dads who want to learn to take better photos of their kids. The most important lesson is about exposure (how much light enters your camera when you take a picture), which is controlled by shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.
