Pittsburgh Family Photographer| Point State Park Pittsburgh | 1st Anniversary Portrait

This darling young couple came to me for some 1st anniversary portraits in Pittsburgh.  We decided on Point State Park, which is a much-used portrait location for good reason!  The views are incredible and it has a vast, beautiful backdrops surrounding the park.  I have shot families here many times!

Since we had no kiddos with us, we were able to stay out after dark and experiment with some lighting.  I absolutely love working with Speedlites and I do not usually get the opportunity to use them outdoors at night–usually just inside during my family and newborn sessions.  SO fun!

While we waited for the lights to turn on at the Clemente/10th Street Bridge, we popped into the Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh for a few moody lobby shots.  So many of these turned out well but this is my favorite:

Here’s a studio maternity session of a very fun family who is doing the baby plan with me, woohoo!!!!  These guys have a real creative spirit, so I can’t wait to look at the full set of images a year from now!! 🙂  So many fun things in the works!

Sweet baby girl is due next month, so I will be sharing newborn portraits soon, and we even have her fall session in the planning stages!  YAY!

Happy 1st Birthday Penn & Sullivan! | Pittsburgh Newborn Twin Photographer | Baby Plan Graduates

Happy birthday to 1-year-old fraternal twin boys Penn & Sullivan, who allowed me to document their first year by doing the Baby Plan with me!  Here is a video showcasing their entire first year, with portrait sessions at 2 weeks, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year.
