This is a family with two little boys that recently moved to the Mt. Lebanon area from Alaska.  Their kids are the same distance apart as my two little ones, so this was a little nostalgic for me remembering exactly where I was about 7 months ago… new to the area, going from one child to two, wondering what I had gotten myself into, but loving every second of my time with my babies.  Check out how much dad & Everett look alike, complete with matching guayaberas!

Here these guys are laying on a goatskin collected in the Alaskan wilderness by their daddy.  Big brother Everett gave Bennett lots of hugs and kisses and is an excited and happy little guy.  Brothers! <3

It’s spring!  (Right???)  This is my first spring in Pittsburgh and I am surprised at how the weather changes from one day to the next.  We have had freezing temps, snow, thunderstorms, and sunny/70’s in the last few weeks.  I have clothing for all seasons in my drawers and closets, and I’m running out of room! Is this typical for Pittsburgh springtime?

My goal for the Graybill portrait was a shiny happy springtime portrait, but although we got a lovely sunny day, it was COLD!  These guys are troopers and let me put baby Delaney in a pretty spring dress without a sweater for a nanosecond to capture a cute shot of her. My favorite portraits of this day involved a piano and chickens!

Pint-sized beauty Madeleine has been taking ballet lessons and loves her jewels!

I had the pleasure of joining the Buschman family at their lovely home in the Mission Hills area of Mt. Lebanon.  After months of rain and snow, we REALLY lucked out and got this beautiful, sunny spring morning.

 


I LOVE the mother/daughter portrait. The stars aligned on this day with the perfect morning light and happiest child!  Feels great to be shooting again… thanks Buschmans for having me in your home!
